5 Hills Out - Snowfall

“Snowfall is about fighting materialism and wanting to spend more time with family.

It is for the people who don’t get the picture book Christmas and also the people who spend it alone, or fighting to survive in hospitals or on the streets. The chorus is about wanting the snow to cover up the broken towns and how a lot of people turn to drink to cover their problems at this time of year. It may sound depressing but the song has hope, heart and the overall feel is one that wishes for a better new year.

5 Hills Out are a 5-Piece Folk-Punk band, Inspired by the heritage and customs of folk and the aggression and energy of punk. We’re making a vital stand against messing the world up. Armed with passionate lyrics and a fascinating mix of instruments, we generate a diverse and energetic live show. We are experienced in playing both intimate acoustic shows and big stage electric sets, so can tailor our setup to match your needs.

Reviews - “Upbeat, politically fueled and dance worthy, The Snug Sessions is a double helping of 5 Hills Out at their best…the perfect festival soundtrack for the summer.” Louder Than War

“For fans of bands like The Silk Road, Folk The System, Under A Banner or huge stadium bands like The Levellers or New Model Army, these two songs will strike a real chord and these infectious foot stomping folk-punk anthems really make us excited to see 5 Hills Out live in concert.” London Celtic Punks

Reference - “5 Hills Out have played at Matlock Bath Music Festival twice, in 2018 and this summer.  On both occasions the band were friendly and professional with organisers, engineers, audience and other musicians.  We wouldn’t hesitate to have them back again for MBMF or any other gigs we're involved with in the future. Musically the band play catchy, original folk/punk/rock material with some unusual instrumentation and a lively, energetic delivery.  Definitely recommended.” Mike Richardson, Co-Founder & Co-Organiser at Matlock Bath Music Festival
