The Waves was written looking over a slate, grey skyline from a high rise in Toxteth, Liverpool, before any notion of a stay-at-home summer Ali Horn dreams of those carefree precious few days of sunstroke and wide-eyed, beach-warmed love-ins. Back when the only things that mattered was making sure you were there on the trip, in and out of a wetsuit sat next to the girl of your dreams.
Liverpool isn't world-renowned for its swell. In fact other than attempting to surf the wake behind a Mersey ferry there's no chance of catching any waves. But that's not to stop anyone California Dreamin'

2019 saw Ali Horn release his debut EP 'It Wears Off', six songs exploding with hazy pop hooks, sunburst psychedelia, and themes that stray between birth, death, love, and paranoia. Since releasing Modern Voodoo back in April of last year. A fave of BBC 6 Musics LIZ KERSHAW and BBC Wales JANICE LONG Ali Horn has featured on Fresh on the Net Faves several times. Dreamers was selected as one of 6 Music's Tune of 2019.
