As the World Begins to Emerge from Lock-Down, Steady Rollin’ Declare, “I Feel Alive”!
“Powerful, compelling blues, Impossible” follows on from the hugely popular track “When the Judgement Comes” and its super-charged dance remix courtesy of Elyse Rich, set a course from 80s synth pop to modern flourishes of stomping delight, all wrapped around the pounding, relentless rock of Steady Rollin’. The Steady Rollin’ train will be pulling into a station near you before you know it…
Fresh from winning over their native Latin America, Blues rock titans Steady Rollin’ are getting ready to take on the world…the warm, fuzzy vibe of standalone recent single “Impossible” is the sound of a band in their element. Music Week
Steady Rollin’s remarkable journey from the tiny Central American republic of El Salvador to the music pages and radio waves of America, Europe and beyond continues, with the anthemic and never-more appropriate single, I Feel Alive. It reinforces Steady Rollin’s reputation as a rock band who ooze authenticity and class, rejecting studio trickery and playing their tracks in the live tradition of bands like Cream and The Who.
Singer and guitarist Fernando Poma explains the track’s origins:
“I Feel Alive is a very innocent love song about two teenagers who meet each other randomly on a holiday and almost instantly fall in love and spend a whole night together dancing under the stars, going into a closed amusement park, before they each go their own way the following day”
Comprising Benjamin Andrade on drums and backing vocals, Gerardo Pardo on bass and Fernando Poma on guitar and lead vocals, they have already captured the hearts of minds of audiences across their native El Salvador and South America and now look to spread their message to the rest of the world.
Love & Loss is the first full release from Steady Rollin’, 10 tracks which tell love-related stories from Fernando’s real-life experiences to a musical backing which twists between emotional blues, agile, sinuous rock and a squall of alternative power. Fernando Poma has played music for as long as he can remember, moving on from the drums as a young child through to an obsessive fascination for guitars which still exists today. Though he has been hugely successful in business, it is music which has always been his calling, a passion which is tangible in every song he performs.
Benjamin Andrade’s interest in music started back in 1994 when he started listening to Led Zeppelin, Rush, Metallica and other rock bands. His talent has driven him to stablish several successful music bands, such as Kroma, Ultraviolet and Alter Ego. Nowadays, he is committed to Steady Rollin’ and to his role as Yamaha Music’s official drumming representative for El Salvador. Gerardo Pardo is a professional bass and guitar player, adding expertise and a melancholic note to Steady Rollin’s compositions. Fernando Poma, alongside his role in the band, is well-known best as a hugely influential businessman, Managing Director of the largest hotel operators in Latin-American, Real Hotels and Resorts and director at Grupo Poma. He is regarded as a champion of El Salvadorian music scene, given over weekly residences to local bands to play at his venues.
Love & Loss is set to be released on strictly limited-edition vinyl in time for Christmas in the UK with a full tour planned in support.
