Blaktrix unleashes mighty '€5 Euro Shades' single

Taken from the forthcoming Blaktrix EP 'DUMB' coming soon on Winger Records! Hip Hop legend Blaktrix signs with Winger Records.

Like a well kept secret the UK Underground Hip Hop scene knows about Blaktrix. Acclaimed for his flow and off kilter techniques he seems eventually destined to be recognised as one of the leading Hip Hop artists in the country... Blaktrix, a pivotal part of the highly respected Associated Minds label / institution in the 2000's, he featured on Secondson's album with the likes of Taskforce and Jehst. Blaktrix decided not to approach bigger hip hop labels as he saw something very special and unique in Winger Records. This is quite a feat for a small Welsh Hip Hop label that was started recently in rural West Wales.

This news comes only shortly after the label released Llanelli rapper Boofy's highly anticipated 'Inabitnow' album which has got Wales buzzing with its gritty realistic account of life in Llanelli a very deprived area of Wales. Shortly before this they released Culture Vultures - WOTW:One album which featured big uk hip hop names such as Bisk and Jack Danz and has received multiple radio plays. The quality and cultural significance of this small label with big dreams is becoming increasingly evident and the news they will be releasing The comeback EP from Blaktrix strenghtens this claim massively!

Blaktrix spent a short stint on the infamous SFDB Label and featured on the Secondson and his Orchestra Lp along with artists such as Taskforce, Lewis Parker and Jehst. He has supported Skinnyman and Goldie Lookin Chain in venues across the country such as Bristol Academy and has performed live on BBC radio. 'Blix James Bitch' is played considerably on C4’s Extreme Sports. Blaktrix was also featured on 'Unsigned' on HTV Wales. When times were hard Rola from the Numskullz, Monky and Stagga (now renowned dubstep producers) from Optimas Prime provided him with the space and studio to lay down some of his heaviest material. Most of this only ever came out on Vinyl some of it never at all.....
