Cael Dadian Releases 'They Will Hear Us'
If you’re not DJ Khaled, you may not recognize every detail we featured in this video. This song was inspired by Khaled’s “they don't want us to win” mantra which I surely identify with. It celebrates the potential that our voice has. As a fellow mid-easterner, I had the idea to play a young Khaled in his early 20s and showcase aspects of his early come up that many people aren’t as aware of.
Some of these things we featured include his black 1995 Honda Civic, his Miami roots, one of his first artist names, Beat Novocain, his Akai MPC60 drum machine, records he spun by artists like Fat Joe, The Isley Brothers, and Trick Daddy, Terror Squad, 99 Jamz, the radio station that put him on the map, Odyssey Records where he briefly worked and met Birdman + Lil Wayne, Champs Sports where he also worked and sold his early mixtapes, the keys, and many other details of his life and journey.
This song was inspired by Khaled’s “they won’t want us to win” mantra and is meant to be a jam for the summer. This was written by me and co-produced by June Mag and Smithmusix!
