Cat Janice releases Luxury
This indie pop musical catch brings back the bright, fun bops that remind us of the 60s with a sophisticated edge. Cat Janice’s brand new single ‘Luxury’ is packed with upbeat and groovy vibes, making it the perfect feel-good summer tune.
When describing what the song ‘Luxury’ means to her, Cat said:
“That moment you look around at your best friends and smile, that moment you catch your lover's eye and everything fades away, the moment the bliss takes over and you're completely content...that is Luxury.”
Growing up in a musical family, Cat has always had a strong connection to music and learned to play the violin and piano at an early age. She was classically trained for 18 years, spending time in orchestral productions, jazz bands and in the theatre. Hailing from the Washington DC music scene, she is surrounded by incredible musical diversity that influenced her eclectic musical style. She takes influence from artists including Portugal, The Man, Alice Merton and Lana Del Rey and brings us high energy with snappy beats, thumping bass lines, and soaring vocals. “I want to make tunes that people bounce on their toes to!” says Cat.
Growing in popularity, Cat has already accumulated numerous achievements, having been nominated 8 times for the Washington Area Music Awards (WAMMIE) for best rock and pop artist and songs. She has also been featured on Country Music Television's popular TV Show, "Redneck Island" for best rock song and on Netflix's show "Selling Sunset". Cat has plans for new music summer 2020 and there is no doubt she is an artist to watch.
