Chemical -single launches a new musical era for PLANET CASE
Updated: Jan 3, 2019
Finnish Alt-rock/-pop five-piece Planet Case are ready to release their single ‘Chemical’, out on 10 January, following their debut EP released in May. According to them, the single launches a new musical era for the band.
They reveal the song tells about their life as a group. “We’re travelling every week hundreds of miles to make music together. To make that happen, we need often to make compromises that aren’t always easy for us or our dearest ones.”
Awarded Nordic producer Aki Sihvonen produced ‘Chemical’ as well as three songs for the EP which featured on the Nordic and Indonesian Spotify's New Music Friday playlists, accumulating almost 300K streams to date.
Planet Case has a busy year behind as following the release of their Simple Thoughts EP, acclaimed by several British music blogs and radios in Germany and Finland, the band supported the farewell tour of Satellite Stories which is the most successful Finnish indie band.
Furthermore, Planet Case have played several important showcases in Finland. Now, the band is writing songs for their planned debut album. Frustrated with the Finnish major labels asking them to sing in Finnish, the band found their own record label, Stellarec, which releases the music for the fans while Planet Case is looking for an international label to support their ambitions.
