DOOPS RELEASED ‘SHANGRI-LA’ ON WEDNESDAY 28th OCTOBER
"Shifting textures and dynamics; culminating in an irresistibly intense aimlessness" - The Unsigned Guide

Berkshire based alt-rockers doops are steadily building their reputation as one of the most exciting new live bands after incendiary performances supporting the likes of Another Sky, Touts and Bloody Knees. Their influences range from the psychedelic riffs and hard beats of Tame Impala mixed with the dark sensibilities of Q.O.T.S.A. Over the past 12 months the band have received support from the likes of BBC Introducing Berkshire, This Feeling and Amazing Radio.
Hotly tipped as a Spotlight Artist by the Unsigned Guide doops were invited to record at the legendary Abbey Road Studios which spawned new single ‘Shangri-La’. The new track signifies the bands coming of age as they produce there most compelling and resonating piece of music yet before the release of their debut EP later this year.
QUOTE ABOUT THE SONG:
“Shangri-La is an introspective look at the decay of the sums of our progress; how we give leeway to our faults with such complacency, shutting them out until they snowball into something we don't recognise - without knowing the true impact / consequences of the change or how it will shape our future.
We are entirely familiar with the action needed to reappropriate for the better - but it's human nature that denies us the opportunity of resolution.”
Andrew Bingham - Vocals and Guitar
Luke Connor - Bass
Chris Crouch - Drums
