Jack Hyphen – NEW SINGLE “I wanna know (For Once)

Following his debut EP release in November 2019, alongside a sold out launch at Sacred Trinity Church in Salford, Jack Hyphen has released (17/04/2020) a brand new single.

“I Wanna Know (For Once”, recorded at Abbey Road Studios. The song is driven by a dirty bass line and an infectious groove. The song was birthed out of an accidental loop when Jack's software was glitching. Lyrically the song is about the frustration of someone not being honest with you, acting shifty and the feeling of uncertainty that brings.

Jack on recording at Abbey Road – “It was awesome to be able to record at Abbey Road, the result is something a little less easy-listening indie and a bit more Alt Rock, and I am so happy it is finally out”

Hailing from Manchester, the ambiguously named "Jack Hyphen" combines aspects of indie pop and alternative rock to deliver an atmospheric, punchy and occasionally ethereal sound.

Jack Hyphen began as a solo project, with acoustic singles such as 'Not Aligned' showcasing the singer songwriters vocal prowess, Jack Hyphen was always destined for a much larger sound, thus transforming from a solo effort into a 4-piece alternative rock outfit.

Captivating riffs, harmonies and divine melodies drive the debut EP 'Stops / Changes', released on 15th November 2019.

"A dynamic songwriter with beautiful melodies and a real warmth on stage" - Andrew Marston, BBC Music Introducing in Hereford & Worcester

“One of the things I love about Jack's performances is how effortless he makes it look, even though his songs are complex, with a lovely variety of creative designs and directions. He's got a cracking voice as well!” – Luke Hart, Manchester based musician.
