King of Nowhere - You Don't Get to Keep the Dog
Sweeping love song juxtaposed with bitter and aching lyrics.
King of Nowhere is an indie-music project conceived by multi-instrumentalist Mikkel Fabricius, who writes, records, performs, produces and masters the music. Recording music since 2012, King of Nowhere finally wishes to reach a broader audience.
Drawing influences from orchestral pop like ELO, Broken Social Scene and Beach Boys. The new single - “You Don’t Get to Keep the Dog” sounds like an uplifting, optimistic and big sweeping love song. Though underpinned by bitter and aching lyrics. Painting a paradoxical portrait of a post breakup relationship.
The single, is his latest from an upcoming, yet untitled EP - set for a late-summer release. He released “Down the Line” a month ago. Earning him spots on a couple of music-blogs, an interview with Lost In the Manor, as well as recogntion from DR radio show Karrierekannonen (DR: Danish Broadcast Corporation) - claiming his music to be magical.
Hopefully his latest single will continue to stir some interest around the world.
