MADISON DEAVER’S ‘TONGUE TIED’ EP TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID’
Madison Deaver’s freshman EP ‘Tongue Tied’, launching June 4, is off to a strong start as the first single from the EP, ‘That’s What She Said’ already released to rave reviews. One reviewer wrote “Deaver’s powerhouse vocals expertly communicates her direct lyrics” and “With simple yet ‘sing-a-long-able’ punky melodies, fans of artists like Avril Lavigne, Letters to Cleo and Gwen Stefani will find themselves in pleasingly familiar territory.” Another reviewer forecasted the success of Madison’s EP ‘Tongue Tied’ claiming “’That’s What She Said’ is a resilient and compelling first release from what we can only imagine will be a breathtaking debut.”
Madison’s work on this EP with producers from both the US and UK support the artist’s personal musical perspective that reviewers have dubbed ‘Post-Punk’, ‘Pop Punk’ and ‘Alternative Indie’. Madison’s music supports a long-awaited resurgence of music with strong female voices backed by skilled and engaging guitar and drum led instrumentals.
Madison’s partnership with producer Una Jensen on 3 of the songs created a powerful female duo, you’ll likely hear from again. Una also introduced Drummer Adrian Young (Dreamcar / No Doubt) to the project to lend his expertise to feature on the tracks she co-wrote and produced.
Listeners will also recognize the undeniable British influence on two tracks under the production of Natt Webb and Adam Slack (The Struts) from Nottingham, UK where studio sessions were achieved through a series of Zoom and Audiomovers communications due to distance and Covid Quarantine.
‘Tongue Tied’ is a 5 track EP that expresses in lyrics and music some of Madison’s personal struggles whether love, friendship or business related in the last few years. The title ‘Tongue Tied’ is the artist’s symbolic reference to how she has felt about keeping her feelings and words to herself along the way. The honesty with which she lets listeners in is like a peek into her diary and allows Madison to finally answer in her own way and time. Madison shares,” From my diary to your devices… here’s ‘Tongue Tied’.”
