New Music: Unbroken Expanse 'Go' Single & Video

From top to bottom, Unbroken Expanse take life and it’s fleeting opportunities seriously. Driven to take the necessary steps, their new single Go is an empowering rock anthem that just doesn’t quit.

‘During the writing of Go my partner, Jess, was days from giving birth to our son, Elvis... His impending arrival made me think more and more about how his generation will need to connect with each other more than any generation before it... the song is a message to him, and to all of us, to maintain a progressive, positive view of the world as often as we can. To move forward. To Go.- Wheezy (Singer, guitarist and songwriter)

Splitting a Mad Max fervour with hard rock riffs, Go was recorded September of this year in a warehouse in Richmond, Victoria and at Fallback Studios Flemington, Victoria by The Sound Baron Aaron Dobos. 2700km of bitumen away from their seemingly mythic origins in Tennant Creek NT; it’s hard to think of anywhere more isolated. Midpoint between Darwin and Alice Springs. Red dust and yellow eyes. Your options there are limited, either drink yourself to death or escape to inspire the world.

When Jimmi James (Lead Guitar) left Thailand to work on a Tennant Creek cattle station – his head swimming with culture shock and Kirk Hammet solos – it was hard not to spot the three other music freaks in town. Jason (drums), drum Viking; Wheezy (vocals/guitar), Strummer iconoclast; and Parko (bass), Dion slickness that flick-knives into Iggy Pop thrash. The four of them were a disaster waiting to happen. Of course, Tennant Creek couldn’t hold them long, and they quit their day jobs to find the places they had only read about in a the tattered communal Rolling Stone that Parko snatched from the town hairdresserSix days in a rattling van and they've arrived. Shaking red dirt out of their pickups and amps. The outback has something to tell urban Australia.

Unbroken Expanse is rock n’ roll without the handbook, learned by instinct. Go is the spirited mantra for all determined and righteous rock’n’roller, no salon-styled inner-city ennui, this is the music of true believers.
