New release: Secret Sight - "Borders"
“There must be a way” is the first video taken from Secret Sight brand new album “Borders”.
It's a classic indie guitar rock song, for fans of Interpol, Editors, The Killers.
The video, directed by Laura Papi, digesting Pina Bausch's lessons focuses on a dancer (Sara Pantalone) in her struggle to set her free while hindered by a few masked, dreamy ghosts.
“Borders” is Secret Sight's third album, and features ten songs written in the United States, during a long journey across the “borders”.
It’s an album about external and inner boundaries, with pulsating drums and powerful tunes.
Tales of lonely night trips, the longing for a personal and collective revolution, the struggle to stay connected and awake in a relationship and the resilience due to survive are recurring themes.
Secret Sight are: Lucio Cristino (Vocals, Bass, Synths), Tommaso Pompili (Guitar, Synths, Vocals), Enrico Bartolini (Drums, Pad).
Secret Sight’s project dates back to 2014. “Day.Night.Life”, their debut album, was produced by Paolo Rossi (Soviet Soviet, Be Forest, Brothers In Law) and released by Red Cat Records. It was followed by a long promotional tour around Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
The project went ahead with the second album, “Shared Loneliness”, produced by Alessandro Ovi Sportelli (Prozac+, Zen Circus, Baustelle) and released in September 2017 also on vinyl, thanks to the precious partnership between the French labels Unknown Pleasures Records and Manic Depression Records. The trio succesfully toured around Italy, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, and Czech Republic.
