Present Paradox - The Rhythm Of Spring
My sixth release describes spring as metaphor of overcoming the dark side and feeling energy, flirt, amorousness and positiveness in life. Over the span of six songs I send you on a journey from dizzy drum grooves to soft guitar notes. From fast piano arpeggios to slowly fading vocal-loops.
To me the album feels like small but natural evolution of previously explored directions. More focused on rhythm and percussive sounds this time, looped-focoused but still with a strong human touch (every song contains an acoustic-guitar or piano).
It has been recorded at home and in a rehearsel room over the span of a few months.
David Kleinekottman is a German (Dortmund) singer songwriter, and producer of the alternative rock/experimental project named Present Paradox. His music oscillates between #ambient-rock, #experimental-rock and #electronica. His Albums / EPs are always six tracks long.
"Dortmund based German artist David Kleinekottman who is clearly as prolific as he is talented. Ambient, experimental, art house and electronica in scope and influenced by Brian Eno, Elbow and Radiohead. I’d say those signposts mark Present Paradox out for closer inspection" Chris Ingram, freshonthenet.co.uk
