"Paper Town" is an honest and emotional track inspired from crippling anxiety and loneliness ""Paper Town," is the fourth song off of my EP, and is a coming of age track inspired by crippling anxiety spawned by a looming fear of death, and loneliness spawned by a toxic town that promotes jealousy and greed. I wrote Paper Town with my friends Haleigh Bowers and Kylie Rothfield when I was really feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders. Prior to writing this song, I had been struggling with nightly panic attacks, an uncertain medical condition, and an extremely unstable living situation. I wanted to write something raw and vulnerable that described how I was feeling in that very moment, and every time I listen to this song it still stings the same it did when I heard it the first time." - Ryan Nealon
"Paper Town" was recorded, mixed, and produced by Zack Djurich (NAS, Kanye West, Teyana Taylor) and Kylie Rothfield (Alisan Porter, Chrissy Metz, Ester Dean) at Zack's studio in North Hollywood, CA. The guitar and piano were played by Bret Paddock, and the Strings were arranged by Ryan Nealon and Bret Paddock, and played by Yasmeen Al-Mazeedi (YAS).
