The Jayplayers Announce New Single
(Hershey, Pennsylvania November 29, 2020) To the great delight of their fans, award winning Americana/Roots Rock act The Jayplayers announce that their new single, Last of My Kind, will be released in January 2021.
This release comes on the heels of two other successful singles last year, I Still Love You (January 2020) and Heavier (June 2020). Prior to those, they released their 2018 sophomore EP, The Jayplayers: Little Bit Country, which was recorded in the renowned MilkBoy Studios in Philadelphia, and their debut LP, Glitter & Wine in 2016.
In addition to writing a large collection of new songs, they have maintained a heavy performance schedule of hundreds of shows. Most recently they debuted at such nationally recognized festivals as the Philadelphia Folk Festival, Kutztown Folk Festival, and MusikFest to great acclaim. Furthermore, they received the 2018 PHL Live Center Stage Country/Folk music award from the Philadelphia City Council at the end of that year.
“Our fans have heard several of these new songs take shape on stages these last couple of years, and now it is time to deliver that new music to them in its perfected form,” remarks The Jayplayers. They plan to release several singles across all digital platforms again this year, starting with Last of My Kind in January 2021. This stirring love ballad, features Keeley McCue (vocals), Chris Weidensaul (vocals, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, tambourine), Tyler Kollinok (drums), and Adam Rabenold (piano). It was recorded at Seventh Wave Studios, and mixed and mastered by Randy Lane.
