The Random Hubiak writes songs that are primarily about loss and redemption, hope and dissolution. His music evokes comparisons to Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Ben Folds, Elton John, Nilsson, Stevie Nicks, and Rufus Wainright, with good measures of The Beatles and Bowie thrown in as well.

The majority of our recordings thus far have been recorded at The Brick House in Melbourne UK, The Seaman Shanty in Asbury Park NJ USA, and Jankland Studios in Wall NJ USA. Rand Hubiak and Adam Silverstein bear the bulk of the songwriting load (although Tom Briant pitches in too), with Adam taking care of most piano and keyboards and Rand doing some of the easier ivory tickling.

In most of the recordings, the guitar is played by Tom Briant, who also occasionally pitches in on bass. The rest of the bass duties are divided currently between Julian Michalski and Kurt Hendricksen, with the exception of our Bleached Bones album and a few tracks on the Sad Sack and Hotel by the River EPs, where it is played by Jacque Jobes. Paul Galiszewski is our drummer extraordinaire, and anything recorded at Jankland is engineered and co-produced by Steve Jankowski (currently of Chic, as well as having been a touring member of Blood Sweat & Tears, Chicago, Three Dog Night, and K.C. & The Sunshine Band at various points over the past three decades).
